9. Additional information for ambient

This section describes how the ambient app handles information. The general examples above do not mean that ambient requests payment card or bank account details or location or advertising identifiers. ambient generates sounds on the device and does not use those items for sound playback.

9-1. ambient purchases

ambient uses RevenueCat to check and provide and restore Premium access. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous app user ID. It processes product identifiers and purchase and subscription status and transaction identifiers and technical device and request information.

The relevant store processes the payment. This is Samsung Galaxy Store for the Galaxy version and Google Play for the Google Play version and Apple App Store for Apple versions. ambient does not request or store full payment card numbers. We use purchase information to provide entitlements and restore purchases and handle purchase support.

9-2. ambient contact requests

When you submit an inquiry through ambient our Form Concierge contact form receives your message. The form uses an anonymous support account so that you can retrieve replies.

Depending on the platform the submission also includes the device model and manufacturer and operating system and app versions and language and time zone and screen details and form source and Premium status. The form service records the request's IP address and user agent.

We use this information to respond to inquiries and diagnose problems and prevent abuse. The form is hosted on Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare Turnstile may process network and browser information to check a submission for abuse.

9-3. ambient recipients and retention

RevenueCat receives the anonymous app user ID and purchase information and technical information needed to manage Premium access. The relevant store handles payments and its own transaction records. This includes Samsung Galaxy Store for the Galaxy version.

Cloudflare processes submitted contact form content and support identifiers and device and request information and any Turnstile verification data to host and protect our Form Concierge service.

ambient removes on-device inquiry history older than three calendar months when inquiry history is loaded. The anonymous support credential may remain on the device so replies can be retrieved.

Server-side inquiry messages and replies and associated information have no automatic deletion date. We retain them until we delete them including in response to a verified request where applicable and subject to legal retention duties.

Purchase and entitlement records are retained as needed to provide access and meet legal obligations. The stores and RevenueCat also apply their own retention rules. Uninstalling ambient does not itself delete information held by these services.

For access or correction or deletion of information held by us or our service providers use the contact in section 8 or the ambient data deletion instructions below. We verify requests and respond in accordance with applicable law.

  • Samsung privacy information
  • Cloudflare Privacy Policy

Additional information for Circles & Lines

Circles & Lines stores drawing history and settings on the device. It keeps the latest 100 history entries. Premium daily records are stored separately from that history limit. Drawing data includes the drawn points and their dates and measurements and scores. We do not operate a separate server that receives drawing data from the app.

On iOS Premium daily records sync through the user's private CloudKit database under their iCloud account. History and settings and the current canvas do not sync. Turning off daily recording stops new records but does not stop synchronization of existing daily records.

Purchases and restoration use Apple StoreKit on iOS and Google Play Billing on Android. The stores process purchases under their own policies. Circles & Lines does not use RevenueCat.

Circles & Lines does not use analytics SDKs. Its Android version does not include advertising SDKs and disables app backup. Its iOS privacy manifest declares no tracking and no collected data types. These app declarations do not prevent Apple or Google from processing information for their store and platform services.

The Japanese first-use guidance on iOS downloads its font from Apple. This download connects to Apple's service.

For questions about data or deletion use the contact in section 8. Data stored in iCloud and store transaction records are also subject to the respective platform's policies.
